Media film task

In this task we had to take a music video and attempt to lip-sync to the lyrics of the artist in order to practice for the final project. The song that was used was WSTRN, Best Friend as it was a easy song to lip-sync to and compose a music video for it. After the video was shot we used adobe premier to put all of the pieces together to make the final clip. This involved putting the video together perfectly to link up with the track.
In this the location that was used was a stair well as well as a long corridor. This allowed for a variety of shots for example birds eye and worms eye along with close up pan and tracking shots. in this the camera was a mix between fixed and hand-held cameras that allowed a variety of tilted and tracking shots down the stairs and on the window seal. The lighting in the video was a mixture of low key and high key lighting from the outside and from the roof lighting. The editing was done using adobe premier as this enabled us tto put the original vocals over the video to link it together. In addition this also allowed for post editing to the clips as we was able to add an introduction and a constant cutting rate to make all the parts link up with each other smoothly alongside the beat of the music.

Filming 101

In this lesson I learnt a basic command of how to setup and use the camera in preparation for the music video coursework. For this we used a canon 700D. In this I learnt about how focus the camera to different areas by looking at the white balance and exposure to acquaint to light and dark areas. In this I also learnt about how to control the exposure by the shutter that changes the rate in which images are captured, Aperture which can he edited to acquaint to the location and ISO which is set between 100-1600. In this I also learnt about the video quality that would be used as it would be filmed in 1080p at 25fps to allow a polished camera quality.
In this session I also learnt about the use of the tripod in relation to the camera as this would allow the camera to remain level as all times reducing the chance of a shaky effect. In this session I also learnt about how the focus of the camera should be at MF (manual focus) as this allows me to edit the zoom of the camera freely and be able to tailor it to the persons position.  For the picture style it should be on neutral as this would allow me to perform post edits to the film in editing and the white balance should be set to automatic tho allow the camera base the lighting off the environment.

Ariana Grande Problem Ft Iggy Azalea

Synopsis-The video was bases around the theme of relationships and that without a man she has one less problem in her life.
Performance theme- This video was meant to be a dance video due to the to the BPM of the song being fast and constant cutting between Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea dancing.
Target audience- Due to the mise-en-scene that is used in this music video shows that it is targeted at pre-teens around the age of 13+.
Location- The location of this looks like it was shot in a warehouse and with a green screen as we can see some video effects edited around the musicians showing the work of post editing to cause the ripple effect around the musicians. In addition the warehouse is used as they have sets in which a certain part of the video is recorded e.g. the moped scene was shot in a different location in comparison to the rest of the video.
