Mock-up Designs (Cover art)

In this post I came up with three concept designs for the front cover of the music cover. The aim of this was that I can gain feedback on aspects of the designs in which they likes and what one is the best of the three shown overall as well as how in which to improve them. The first design produced was a long shot of the guy sitting down and the girl leaning against a bottle of poison as it connotes to the song title poison. The bottle would be made using photoshop along with the cupid's as they connote love which is usually reminiscent of love. This design got a positive interaction because of the relevance with the actual song because of the poison bottle and the cupid's. However the negatives that occurred with this is the shot type as the majority of music album covers have as shot ranging from close-up to medium-shot and not a long-shot as a person cannot see the main artist of the song.
The second Design proposed was a side shoot of the main artist however, has a merged image of a man and woman about to kiss extending out of the back of the guy head. Thais was meant to combine real photography as well as Photoshop editing in relevance with my case studies on music albums as I was looking at the combination of graphic designed covers in cohesion with real images. The positives from this approach would be the shot type as it is more conventional for for album covers as a similar shot was used in Drake's 'Nothing was the same' album and the design would be reflective of the majority of music covers interpreting a graphical aspect. The negative comments came from the image that was to be displayed graphically as it wasn't reflective of the song. As a result I am attempting to create an extension that would be more coherent with the actual song.
