Ninth Day Of Editing (22/10/16)
As a result of the focus group we began continuing to improve on the aspects people stated needed improvement. The first was the font as people stated it looked too feminine for the song so, we decided to change it to something more elegant for the song. In addition to this we also had noticed a problem with the sizing of the font a sit was at a point where it looked like it was positioned in the top corner of the screen so, we adjusted it so that all the words would fit in perfectly in the frame. In addition to this we also picked out another clip we could apply the drawing effect to as we were also told to continue to do this effect as it looked interesting however, we decided to apply a multi-colour effect to the line to make it provide variation to the previously used black outline.
Music Video Progression Screening (Focus Group)
Positives
- Storyline made sense
- Range of locations and castings
- Editing (Outline & Text effects)
- Shot transitions
- Camera quality (exposure)
- Lighting in each shot
- Lip-sync slightly off in some shots
- Text effect font looks slightly feminine so change it to something more appropriate
- Continue the line effect in all of the parts captured in the studio

Eighth Day of Editing (21/11/16)
Today we continued editing through to the second verse. In this we used the shots captured on the wall against Stratford International as we were able to do the text effect when he is rapping. This was to work in commune with location shots against the wall as a side shot this was to support the rule of three as we didn't position the singer directly in the middle of the shot but, on the left hand side with the text appearing on the left hand side of the shot. This was done during the rapping as he talks faster in this verse so by displaying the words on the side one can keep track of what he is saying in the track. In this we had two shots of him doing this we had one as a close up and one as a long-shot so, we were able to cut between the two clips.

Seventh Day of Editing (17/11/16)
In this session I spent 3 hours alone polishing some of the editing in the clip by completing the writing effect on the clips against the wall and started doing more of the drawing on the clips in the studio prior to the lesson. During the lesson we began placing the clips in order up until the bridge of the audio. In addition to this we also got feedback on the parts we had edited so far as a result we got the feedback of:
Positives
Positives
- The editing effects of the outline around the singer
- Camera quality of the shots taken
- Range of locations
- Cutting rate of shots
- Changing the font used in the introduction
- Continuing the line effect throughout the shots taken in the studio
- Match up the lip-sync of the Singers and the track
Sixth day of Editing (16/10/16)
In today's lesson we continued with the text editing but, was also planning on what to do for the bridge of the song as this is a part of the song that is slower than the rest of the song however would not require us to do additional filming. As a result we decided that the best thing is to merge the clips we have got already seeing that we already had a lot in a concept where we could slow down the clip to sync up with the music as we already have clips of him singing it but, we also had clips of him acting to the particular part of the song in which we could use. To conclude we decided that we would make the best with what we already got because of how hard it is to arrange filming sessions with both the actors at the same time.

Fifth day of Editing (15/10/16)
In today's session we continued editing the second verse and the chorus of the song. In this we synced up the clips to the music and begun working on the feedback from peers in using the drawing effect in all clips captured in the studio as well as do different effects with the drawing besides outline because of our research into the Justin Bieber lyrical video he done more than outline the main artist but, done drawings around him so, as a result we have started doing other stuff than outlines. In addition to this we have also started doing the writing effect in which the text is displayed next to the singer as he says the word. this is done during the rapping section of the music as this would be faster than the singing so displaying the words gives the viewer the ability to know what the singer is saying as well as being able to sing along. This was done against all of the shots done at Stratford International against the wall to give this area some effect than just looking plain.

Remix of Jahkoy Poison (9/11/16)
Today w e continued editing the video up until the second verse as we made sure the singing was synced up and connected well with each other. In addition we found a remixed version of Jahkoy's Poison however the only thing that has changed was the beat (BPM stays the same) and the intro instrumental has been moved to the conclusion of the song. As a whole this improves the songs genre as the original was more focussed towards R&B with the instrumental and the new one has a heavier base line without the keyboard melody. As a whole we planned on whatsapp the changes that would need to be made to suit the new beat.
3D Text Effect (10/11/16)
One of the other effects that we looked into was the inclusion of 3D text to narrate the words sung by the artist appearing on screen this is usually done in lyrical video where the text would appear on the screen as the artist sings it. This is usually done with the use of the rule of third where the main actor is not positioned directly in front but, is positioned to the right or left hand side of the grid and never in the centre. The benefits of doing this is that their would be space on the side to edit upon. This method is based on the Kendrick Lamar swimming pool as he used the rule of thirds in his shots in placing a character to the left or right of the central frame. However the lyric style is based of looking into research videos as they usually provide two versions so, if no one knew a specific verse and wanted to sing along to the verse the lyrics would be on screen in the time of the artist sings the song. This is going to be featured in the rapping verse of the song as that is faster part of the song and would benefit from the words being of screen at the pace of his singing. This is most notable in Kanye West ft T-Pain song 'Good Life' as they use a more cartoon and animated approach to display parts of the chorus on the screen as they say it.

Drawing Effect (7/11/16)
In the music video, we began to edit some of the shots in that were done in the studio and decided to add the drawing effect to some of the footage this effect style consists of drawing around certain objects in a single frame and chaining them together to create an outline of the main artist. This has been used in videos like the Justin Bieber (What do you mean lyric video) in which the same effect was applied to his video of a people skate boarding a this is applied to the scenery and the skateboarders, lytics and the environment. This creates a cartoon/ hand drawn effect that is often used in slower songs to capture key actions. This would be used in our video over the key actions done in the studio as those are the more plain scenes that we captured in the studio. The software we would use to do this is after effects and link it with premiere pro so all the changes we make on premiere pro would reflect of the original video allowing us to work on then individually. The goal is that we could use a range of edits to change the overall presentation of the video.

Filming Olympic Park & Westfield (4/11/16)
Today we booked out the camera for filming in Stratford and the olympic Park. In this shoot we are planning to record 4 key shots from the storyboard which are the escalator shot reverse shot, against the wall, walking (three point tracking shot) and mirror shot. This was filmed from 14:30 - 5:30pm. As a whole the footage that we captured on the day was exquisite as the lighting in each shot worked well with the video concept as well as us being able to gather the footage to fill the gaps in which we needed to record more footage to bridge certain gaps in the video structure as well as giving us a range of locations.
